Panda Express Orange Sauce#

Requirements#
- 1 tbsp oil
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
- 0.5 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 0.25 cup orange juice
- 0.25 cup white distilled vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 heavy bottomed pot
Instructions#
Step 1#
Set a heavy bottomed pot over medium - high heat and add the oil.
Step 2#
Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the red pepper flakes, ginger, minced, and garlic, minced, and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
Step 3#
Add the sugar and brown sugar, and stir to combine.
Step 4#
Add in the orange juice and allow the sugars to begin to dissolve in the liquid, stirring occasionally.
Step 5#
Add in the white distilled vinegar and soy sauce, and stir to combine.
Step 6#
Add the cornstarch and water together and whisk to combine. Add to the pan and stir.
Step 7#
Continue to cook the sauce until maple syrup consistency is achieved.
Step 8#
Add in the fried chicken and stir until completely coated in the sauce.
Step 9#
Top with sesame oil.
